Short Circuit 2025: Moudon vibrates to the rhythm of electronic music !

This Saturday 5 July, the small town of Moudon is transformed into the epicentre of electronic cultures with the 8ᵉ edition of the Short Circuit Open Air Festival. Since 2015, this event has managed to establish itself as one of the must-attend summer events in French-speaking Switzerland, attracting a loyal following of enthusiasts and curious onlookers eager to discover new electronic sounds.

Organised in collaboration with Synergy Events and the Tech With Us association, Short Circuit stands out for its cutting-edge programming and the quality of its technical facilities. Once again this year, the former Place d’Armes, just a stone’s throw from the SBB station, will play host to two open-air stages embodying two complementary sensibilities: a Techno floor and a Trance floor, offering over fifteen hours of non-stop music.

The 8. edition of Short Circuit in a nutshell

The Techno floor, run by Tech With Us, will feature a mix of established names and up-and-coming talents: Helen Frey, Chris Gioria, Elina, Mo Rane, Unterschrift, ZK, Chris Morgan and Gemini. The Trance stage, orchestrated by Synergy Events, promises intense immersion with sets from Scot Project, Code Red, Dyslek, Gianni Parrini, Madwave, Marc Ward, Mind-X and Trusty.

The Short Circuit festival takes an inclusive and accessible approach: admission is free until 7pm for the quickest and for families, before becoming chargeable in the evening, with an age restriction from 18 upwards. This openness is also reflected in the desire to make room for up-and-coming artists: several of the artists present have been selected through competitions, illustrating the festival’s commitment to supporting the emerging Swiss scene.

Short Circuit and its founder Gemini

The genesis of Short Circuit is closely linked to Julien Kern, a.k.a Gemini (DJ and producer), who co-founded the project with Serge Liniger. As a passionate artist, he has brought this collective adventure to life with a constant desire to create and share. Gemini’s name can be found at every stage of the festival’s history, from the first, almost improvised edition to the consolidation of an event that now attracts several thousand visitors. This year, he is replaced by a new 4-person committee – thanks to Quentin, Xavier, Nathan and Ludovic for organising the event! – while providing a dj-set on the Techno floor. A handover that leaves at the heart of Short Circuit the idea that electronic music is a universal language.

This Saturday 5th July, Gemini will be back on the Techno floor for a set that promises to be one of the highlights of the night. Get all practical informations, the full programme and tickets, on www.shortcircuit.ch.

Techno fans will also be able to extend the experience in a few weeks’ time, as Gemini will be one of the star performers at the mUZIC.radio festival. Taking place at CPO in Lausanne, our free festival is dedicated to radio and independent electronic culture. True to his inquisitive spirit, Gemini will be offering an exclusive mix broadcasted live on mUZIC.radio, as well as on FM radio in Lausanne (FM 90.4) & Geneva (FM 101.7) cities.
