Purpose of mUZIC.radio

There was a time - not so long ago - when Lausanne was considered an underground city on the European electronic scene. Since the disappearance of the historic Flon district and legendary clubs such as Loft, Cult and La Ruche, who still stops off in Lausanne to listen to alternative electronic music?

Founded in 2020, the non-profit association Odiolab brings together audio enthusiasts. Building on the success of the Podkast.FM radio festival held in Lausanne in 2024, Odiolab aims to create a new momentum with mUZIC.radio.

From August 18 to September 16, 2025, this innovative project will combine 24/7 music broadcasting via UZIC radio (FM + web) with physical events at the Centre Pluriculturel & social d'Ouchy (CPO) in the heart of Lausanne.

In a world saturated by standardized musical formats, mUZIC.radio aims to offer a platform for visibility to creators of alternative electronic music, while forging closer links with Lausanne & Geneva's publics, who will be able to listen to an exclusive sound on FM radio for 30 days.

In its heyday (between 2010 and 2015), UZIC web radio enjoyed over a million listens a month! Recognized by artists in Switzerland, Europe and the rest of the world, the web radio's success has waned over time.

With artists and listeners regularly calling for the return of UZIC, the Odiolab association proposed to take over its day-to-day activities and make UZIC accessible during the mUZIC.radio festival, on FM 90.4 in Lausanne and FM 101.7 in Geneva, as well as on Internet.

Again, UZIC takes control.
