The mUZIC.radio Dj Contest is now open to YOU !

If you succeed, you'll play your music at the CPO of Lausanne this Summer and get paid for that. All dj sessions will also be broadcasted live on FM radio (the real thing!) in Geneva & Lausanne.

Once the expert committee's evaluations done, we wish to schedule the best uploaded dj-sets on UZIC radio (web & FM broadcasts).

Selected artists will also play this Summer at the mUZIC.radio festival and get paid for that!

Gemini
Considered a pillar of hard techno in French-speaking Switzerland, Gemini (CH) has been a regular guest on alternative radio Couleur 3, and helped popularise darker techno from the late 90s. He co-founded the Pyra records label and the yearly Short Circuit festival.

Jay Castelli
Jay Castelli (CH) started out as a dj in the late 90s. Quickly propelled into a club residency in Barcelona, he has collaborated with big names such as Carl Craig and Dimitri from Paris. As a talented music producer, he also crafts original tracks of pure house music.

Manolo
Manolo (CH) has been building an uncompromising musical identity on the bangs of Lausanne. Resident DJ at the legendary Ruche from 2012 to 2016 and initially active in several duos like Coco & Bédo, he now performs solo, with deep and minimal sets.

Nicolas Duvoisin
Nicolas Duvoisin (CH) launched the Fantastic Friends label in 2009. He toured the country with his label nights and expanded internationally. As a dj, he has played in Switzerland’s best clubs. As a producer, he has released tracks on Berlin’s ‘Highgrade’ label.

Salvatore Freda
Born to play records in a wide range of styles from funk to nu disco, Salvatore Freda (CH) regularly plays long sets. In his career, he created Lausanne’s 1st melodic techno label: Adrenogroov. As a producer, he has released E.P.s on labels such as Cadenza & Freerange.

*Rules of the mUZIC. radio Dj Contest

• Participation is reserved only for new talents, aged 18 and above. Residents in and out of Switzerland are more than welcome.

• Participants must be available (cf. dates) to participate at the mUZIC.radio festival.

• No restrictions on mixing and production equipment : controllers are allowed, as well as AI generated sounds.

• The music must be recorded in an audio file (.mp3 or .wav) and last a minimum duration of 30 minutes for dj-sets and live-acts ; a maximum duration of 15 minutes for tracks.

• Artists allow the usage of their productions for a broadcast over radio (web + FM) and podcast (as no commercial purpose is intended neither by UZIC radio, nore by the Odiolab association).

• The musical genre must be aligned with UZIC radio’s artistic direction.

• Results of the selection will be announced on this website.
